Volunteer Opportunities

Governance
Loon Echo is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. We are looking for qualified and passionate candidates interested in policy, finance, land projects, public outreach, and fundraising.

Lands Committee
The Lands Committee reviews and recommends all land projects and policies to the Board of Directors. They also develop and monitor the conservation easement agreements. We are looking for qualified candidates interested in policy, land project selection, and land management.

Stewardship
Loon Echo manages over 3,300 acres of land and 18 miles of trails. We need your help!
Sample stewardship volunteer responsibilities include: trail maintenance volunteers

  • Sign construction
  • Trail maintenance or adopt-a-trail
  • Monitor a conservation easement property
  • Assist with leading a hike
  • Flora & fauna inventories
  • Passionate volunteers to sit on the Lands committee

Hike n’ Bike Trek
The annual Hike n’ Bike Trek event is held on the third Saturday in September. Loon Echo depends on over 80 volunteers to help run the event. Please consider becoming part of the trek volunteer crew!
