Trek Options: Hike Trek: -6 mile hike- along Pleasant Mountain’s ridge (check-in and departure from 8 - 10 AM) View the Hike route details here

Why Participate?: -Loon Echo protects 3,330 acres of land including mountains, fields, and forests for recreation and resource protection. -Most beautiful bike trek in Maine, passing by farm fields, lakes, rolling hills and mountain passes. -Known as the “toughest century ride in Maine” with 1,200 foot vertical descent in the White Mountain National Forest. -Hike route passes over Pleasant Mountain, southern Maine’s tallest mountain, protected and by Loon Echo.
Pledges & Prizes: -Be a “loony” trekker! You can wear loon “tail feathers” ($100 in pledges) and or a “loon head” ($200 raised) on your helmet or hat, handmade by the “loony girls”! -Great individual and team prizes- check ‘em out (see link below)! Click here for the Pledges and Prizes Page
Food & Festivities: -BBQ or vegetarian lunch after you return from your Trek. -The Shawnee pub serves cold drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic). -Invite friends & family! Purchase additional meals when registering.

Support: Bicycle specialists from Ernie’s Cycle Shop in Westbrook will be tuning and fixing bikes. Over 30 Yankee Amateur Radio Club & Oxford Co. ARES volunteers will be communicating to offer a smooth and safe Trek.
